Positroids, clusters, and Catalan numbers

Abstract: Positroid varieties are subvarieties of the Grassmannian obtained by intersecting cyclic rotations of Schubert varieties. I will talk about a recent result relating the (singular) cohomology of positroid varieties and to q,t-Catalan theory. I will also explain some features of the cohomology of the more general class of cluster varieties.
